Burgh le Marsh, an historic Lincolnshire market town, offers a wide choice of places to stay, at a price to suit your budget, including hotels, holiday cottages, B&B’s, static holiday caravans, campsites & caravan touring sites. With a good selection of pubs and eateries, shops, post office, tearoom’s, hairdresser’s, in fact most things you could need during your visit. For the angler there are numerous well stocked established fishing lakes on the edge of town and very nearby. Cyclists can enjoy miles of quiet scenic country lanes or take the cycle path into Skegness, for the golfing enthusiast there is a golf course and driving range only a short journey away.

The towns jewel in the crown must be the Burgh le Marsh Windmill (Dobsons Windmill) part of the recently opened Burgh le Marsh Heritage Centre. The unique five sailed windmill that turns clockwise, which as recently undergone a major refit and is open for guided tours. After  your guided tour which is free but donations are welcome (all proceeds go to the Mills up keep) you can enjoy refreshments in the mill tea shop. An adjacent museum offers you a chance of a glimpse in to the towns past and for that reminder of your visit there is a small gift shop.

The location of Burgh le Marsh, approximately 5 miles from the coast, means you can enjoy all the fun of the seaside at the nearby holiday resorts on the Lincolnshire coast. Skegness, Ingoldmells & Chapel St Leonards are only a short drive away and there is a regular bus service. Travelling further a field there are many market towns including Boston home of the famous ‘Boston Stump’ with a market every Wednesday & Saturday, Louth set in the Lincolnshire Wolds with lot’s of independent shops. Enjoy a walk in Hubbards Hills. Also well worth a visit is Lincoln, with its magnificent Cathedral and numerous designer shops. After your day exploring you can return to relax and unwind in the peace of Burgh le Marsh, enjoying a meal or drink in one of the local pubs & restaurants.
